Scattered throughout the show we had close to 20 NVTR members, along with a few R&T Club and GMER members. The show was a little on lean side this year in regards to bike manufacturers making an appearance (other than the regular 4 big Japanese brands).
Although there were no KTM (factory), Husky or even BMW booths to be found, there were pretty good off road bike displays by Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki. Yamaha had this sweet cutaway version of their new 2010 YZ450F (see photo below, not from the show). JT Motorsports (Frederick, MD) and Ridersville Cycle (Berkeley Springs, WV) were on hand together with their own makeshift KTM display (see photo below). I bunch of us caught the Ducati stunt show which was pretty impressive (can you say throttle control?).
Over a dozen of us headed to lunch a couple blocks away to Fado (a nice Irish pub, see photos below) and enjoyed some good food and drink. Some of the group headed back to the show to go though the vendor area and see who could spend the least.
Thanks to all who came out, good times!
