Thanks to great hosts, volunteers, and an excellent turnout, the September 16th, 2007 Walnut Hills Vintage Trials was a huge success. Clubmember & photographer Steve Boitano posted pictures on his webpage (prints can be purchased), and NVTR posted additional pictures, as well as results. Congratulations go out to all participants for great sportsmanship.

Taskers Gap Fee Program!
Written by Webmaster
Wednesday, 06 June 2007
After years of supporting the Taskers Gap Trail Complex through regular maintenance work days, combined with a few RTP grants, it's become clear the best way to improve the trails is to implement a user fee at the trail system so heavier, regular maintenance can be performed. We, and the Forest Service, just don't have the funds to get it done and the trails reflect that result.
Beginning July 14, a $5 per day, or $30 per year user fee will be implemented to raise the funds needed to improve the trails. This is a great program as nearly all the funds are required to be spent on the trails. It may take a little time to raise the funds to begin work, but with each arm band sold we get closer to bringing machinery up into the trails and begin work!
Thank you for your support of this important program!
For more information and FAQ's, check out the Forest Service web site at:
Does this mean an end to NVTR's involvement in maintaining the Trails at Taskers Gap? NO! NVTR will continue to be there to apply for RTP funding assistance, build bridges, install signs, remove downed trees, etc.
What it means is that in additional to those projects we typically perform, larger projects can now be considered as well.

Eagle Bay Work Crew - Thanks!
Written by Webmaster
Monday, 13 March 2006
Last Saturday we help our first of two work projects at Eagle Bay to prepare for the Spring Trail Ride 3/20. A huge THANKS! goes out to all the club members who sowed up to help out.
We made a massive improvement on the Short Loop knocking down all the ruts and rebuilding the big bridge. This loop will now be easily ridden by the Novice riders at the STR.
Again, Thanks everyone!

But everyone that rode Sunday, under warm sunny skies, were treated some of the most spectacular scenery the National Forest has to offer! How about those stream crossings - One was measured at just under 36 inches!
Check back here in the next few days and we'll get some photos posted.
