NVTR Annual Winter Party
Kart racing is not required, all are welcome. No charge for spectators, come cheer on the racers! Please join us!

WHEN: Sunday, February 21st. Please plan to arrive between 5:00 and 5:15pm. The safety briefing is at 5:30pm - if you do not attend the the safety briefing, you will not be able to race. The race starts at 6:00pm, but you will need at least 30 minutes to sign the waiver, show your ID, get your gear and go through the required safety briefing.

WHAT: We have reserved the track for our exclusive use for a "Team Race" format. Arrive early to get signed in, view a safety film and get set-up in teams. Trophies awarded at the end of the race.

WHO: All members and guests are encouraged to attend! Bring a friend! It is ok to just hang out and watch.

TO BRING: Please bring a snack, appetizer, dessert or finger food to share. We had a good variety of food last year, let's try and have a good variety again this year. The club will provide plenty of Gatorade, sodas & bottled water to keep you going between laps. Also, don't forget your own helmet, gloves and eye protection (if you have it).

RULES: No alcohol - there is a strict policy against drinking and driving - DUH! We'll have a chance to have a few beers, tell lies & swap stories at a local watering hole AFTER the race (Sweetwater). No bumping or slamming the wall. These are racing karts - not bumper cars.

EQUIPMENT: They will provide helmets, driving suits & safety gear, but you are encouraged to bring your own helmet, gloves and eye protection. Wear casual clothes and comfy shoes or sneakers. You will get sweaty & dirty! This is racin' after all! No sandals or open toes. Make sure you have your drivers license too!

PERKS: We will have exclusive use of the facility from 6-8pm. The party room overlooking the race track will be stocked with food, beverages and non-stop video cam action from NVTR events! You'll be able to rest between laps, get a snack, hydrate and socialize with members and guests. Lap times will be posted live and overall results will be available as a print out at the end of the night.

COST: $65 for 2009 members. $95 for non-members/guests and new 2010 members. Note: the discounted rate is only for those who paid in full for the 2009 year and are current with their 2010 dues. The club is paying for the party room and the balance on member's entry fees. Just like last year, we will participate in a "Team Race" format that is expected to take about 2 hours!
